Rules

Each clue consists of two parts. The first part, when solved, identifies a specific location you must drive to. Solving the second part will give either a password or passcode to unlock the next clue. Passwords should be entered all in uppercase.

All locations for this treasure hunt are either well-known locations, or can be found by searching on Google Maps. Particularly after the first few clues, most locations will need to be found by solving the clue and then searching for the location on Google Maps. The locations can be as far as Petoskey, but I have chosen the order of locations such that no two consecutive locations will be more than a 10-12 minute drive apart.

Also, some locations may require some walking around to fully solve the clue. Do not expect everything you need to solve the clue to be right in front of you when you arrive at the location.

Checking the locations of other teams to find the next clue is not allowed. Just in case, be sure to disable any location sharing services with any members of competing teams.

Each team will be allowed to use unlimited hints throughout the duration of the treasure hunt. However, each hint comes with a time penalty of five minutes. This means that, for example, if Team A used three hints (time penalty of 15 minutes) and Team B only used one (time penalty of 5 minutes) then even if Team A completes the treasure hunt 5 minutes sooner than Team B, team B would still win first place.
